Soil Testing

So today we had Nick, Angus's Dad come in from Leaderbrand and he went and got some containers of soil and he came in to talk about the soil that he brought into school. We had a little talk about the soil and Nick talked about his job and what he does at Leaderbrand.

How to make a Quality blog Comment

We did this because we need to make sure that we make a good comment so that we don't hurt them or upset them like if somebody said on someone blog that it was bad so that is why we learnt how to make a Quality Comment with Mrs Krausse.

Whangara farm

Today we went to Whangara to get some samples of Clover, Plantain, Rye and some other crops.

We did this because we are learning about seed and crops and because of our seed company and for our company we made Greenhouses for our groups and we all worked together to make our Greenhouses.

So today we went to whangara and we got our sample my group got clover and then when we got our sample I got a magnifying glass and looked at the sample and it looked quite funny but back to the whangara experience there were two people there to teach us about what they do Andrew and Renee taught us some other stuff. Then Renee showed us what she does with the cages she had on the hill so she has this meter thing and you would push it down then bring it up again and do the five time then she would write what it said on the little screen then she would write whatever it said and write it on a little piece of paper.

Seeds r us/Greenhouses

This is our company Seeds r us, and sometimes we have little meetings to get some ideas of what to do. some people got asked to bring some seeds to start making our Green houses. Our Greenhouses are for the seed trays so they can get heat, and air when they are outside and this is what my groups Greenhouse looks like right now but we did add some plastic on half of the top because it was really raining.
